Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark is one of New Jersey’s largest non-profit social service agencies with programs and facilities serving Bergen, Essex, Hudson, and Union counties.We are currently seeking for Full Time Substance Abuse Specialist for our Pathways to Housing program located in Newark NJ. Job Duties: Provides individual substance abuse counseling and group programming to individuals requiring support or less intensive services. Responsible for the development and implementation of a service plan that incorporates individual needs assessments, and conducts substance abuse assessments on all residents. He or she also provides individual and group counseling to residents with a substance abuse history Makes appropriate referrals for treatment and services.
