Practice Area: Litigation - eDiscovery General,Litigation - Document Review,Litigation - eDiscover, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 3 Years, A law firm in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is seeking a Staff Counsel for eDiscovery Services. This role involves serving as a Team Lead to coordinate communications between lawyers and contract review teams. The Staff Counsel will perform quality control and other discovery-related tasks, including key document summaries, issues analysis, chronologies, and privilege log creation. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor degree, be licensed in the state of employment, and possess strong experience in document review with excellent analytical and communication skills.Duties:Serve as a Team Lead, coordinating communications between lawyers and contract review teams.Perform quality control (QC) and other discovery-related tasks, including key document summaries, issues analysis, chronologies, and privilege log creation.Review, analyze, and code documents for responsiveness, relevancy, confidentiality, issues, and privilege.Participate in initial review trainings and team meetings.Conduct QC review of document coding and redactions for accuracy.Coordinate, monitor, and quality check the work performed by first-level reviewers.Identify, escalate, and track questions and issues to lawyers and other practice support professionals.Prepare and edit privilege logs for production.Review and analyze contracts and agreements according to specified criteria.Provide after-hours, overtime, and weekend support as necessary.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited institution.Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the state of employment (e.g., Texas, Minnesota, or Missouri).Preferably 3+ years of document review experience.Strong grasp and knowledge of document review platforms.Excellent analytical, problem identification, and resolution skills.Superior attention to detail with a proven dedication to work product quality.Ability to work efficiently and effectively under rigorous deadlines.Thorough understanding of attorney-client and attorney work product privilege.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to communicate effectively with project managers, lawyers, and other document review attorneys.Ability to work both as part of a team and independently with appropriate supervision.Willingness to provide after-hours, overtime, and weekend support as necessary.Education:JD degree from an ABA-accredited institution.Certifications:Active license to practice law in the state of employment.Skills:Expertise in document review and eDiscovery processes.Proficiency with document review platforms.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Exceptional attention to detail.Ability to manage and quality-check document review tasks.Effective communication with various stakeholders.Capability to work independently and as part of a team.Flexibility to work beyond regular hours as needed.Benefits:Competitive salary.Comprehensive benefits package.
