We have an immediate opportunity for an entry level Staff Accountant for our fast paced, deadline-driven Accounting Department! The role will assist in the day-to-day accounting, monthly reconciliations, as well as other general accounting related activities DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Process A/R which includes preparing deposits and entering receipts Bank reconciliations Cash management duties which includes sweeps, agent cash outs, and reconciliations Client billing Provide general accounting support which may include some general admin support Financial statement preparation Preparing journal entries, including fixed asset and accrual entries Assist with various ad hoc reporting Assist with balance sheet account reconciliations and analysis Business Personal Property Renditions Additional duties may be assigned based on capacity QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Seeking 1-3 years of experience Strong attention to detail is a must!** Proficient in Excel and Microsoft applications, Word, PowerPoint, etc. Ability to consistently produce accurate work and meet deadlines Prior Accounting experience a plus Great organizational skills Solid verbal and written communication skills Ability to multi-task and prioritize work responsibilities Ability to work in a team setting as well as independently **This is an on-site position reporting to our corporate headquarters located about one mile south of Chicago Midway Airport.
