Looking to add a staff accountant to our dynamic finance team at Wolverine. The staff accountant will be at the heart of the finance team and will collaborate closely with the controller as well as the AR and AP specialists. The essential functions include but are not limited to the following: · Support month end and year-end financial close processes including bank account reconciliations, AP reconciliation, postage inventory accounts reconciliation, general ledger maintenance, and preparation of month end journal entries: preparing supporting schedules for financial statements preparation.· Monitoring and reviewing of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions.· Prepare monthly management reports along with variance analysis.· Support annual budget and interim forecasting processes.· Assist Controller with financial and tax audits.· Produce financial data for management team upon request and assist with other finance projects monthly and on demand. Qualifications: · Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.· 2-3 years progressive accounting experience in for profit business or public accounting.· Thorough knowledge of GAAP.· Experience with month end process and financial statement preparation.· Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.· Ability to work and interact with department and client organizations.· Strong computer aptitude, including expertise with Microsoft Excel and Word as well as applicable accounting software.· Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and deadlines.· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
