JOB DESCRIPTION Staff Accountant Finance Department Reports to: Sr. Accounting Manager Job Summary The S taff Accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations and processing bi-monthly payrolls. This position will work closely with our Finance team, Human Resources, and various departments. This person will report to the Sr. Accounting Manager and also work with the Chief Financial Officer. Key Job Responsibilities (Duties may include, but are not limited to all or some of the following) Prepare weekly check-run and initiate payments to vendors and employees Record A/R collections and other cash deposits Manage corporate credit card program and employee expense reports Create and enter journal entries which are not limited to fixed assets, prepaids, accruals, and reclasses Assists with Tax ID Registration when registering in new states and localities Process bi-monthly payroll with HR Manager Assist HR Manager with resolving payroll related matters Verify and record vendor invoices and ensure reimbursable costs billed to clients Maintain general ledger with Senior Accounting Manager Prepare and reconcile monthly financial reports Assist with financial audits Assist Senior Accounting Manager and CFO with ad-hoc projects Job Qualifications (Skills/Requirements) 3+ years of experience in accounting Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance Experience/understanding of payroll processing a plus Knowledge of financial and cost accounting Proficient in Microsoft Office Excellent verbal and written communication Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to maintain confidentiality of private and personal information For U.S. Job Seekers, it is the policy of Ca+Co to provide equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, religion, color, ethnic origin, gender, gender identity, age, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, disability, or any other basis prohibited by applicable federal, state, or local law.
