As a Senior Accountant, you will be a part of our dynamic finance team, where you will play a critical role in managing our financial health. You will be responsible for overseeing our daily accounting operations, preparing financial reports, and ensuring our financial transactions are accurate and transparent. This is a permanent position that offers an excellent opportunity to harness your skills and contribute to our organization's success.Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met. Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and other financial forecasts, analyze and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management. Conduct and lead audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements; coordinate with external auditors and manage internal controls. Ensure all accounting processes align with GAAP and current financial legislation. Analyze financial data and provide strategies to reduce costs and improve financial performance. Supervise and/or manage general ledger accounting functions. Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships. Work with the accounting team to improve financial procedures.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cost accounting in a senior role. Proven experience with financial reporting and financial data analysis. High proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheet programs and applications. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic thinking skills. Exceptional leadership and management skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work. Knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations as related to accounting. Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
