Staff Accountant and Payroll

Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES: Reviews and approves payrolls. Handles accounting for 60 companies (full-cycle accounting) EOY for clients and several additional companies Finalizes taxes for business clients. Insurance audits (requested by insurance companies) Prepare and distribute W-2’s. Preps taxes for corps and sole props Prepares and submits quarterly taxes for 80+ companies (20 days per month) 940/941 & SUW returns for State of MI QUALIFICATIONS: Must have accounting, payroll and payroll tax experience. Associate degree in accounting or related field required. Bachelor’s degree - CPA or aspiring to sit for the CPA exam preferred. Ability to work against deadlines. Good customer-facing skills and experience. Experience with MS Office, Thompson Reuters suite, and ADP Run preferred. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
