Our video offering at Raptive currently empowers our 5000+ publishers to deliver video content to their users, serving millions of video impressions daily. Have you delivered video solutions in the ad tech industry using browser-based technologies? Are you looking to join a team of expert engineers to rapidly iterate on a cutting-edge video product at scale? We are looking for a highly talented Senior Software Engineer to help build out our quickly evolving video capabilities. What you’ll be doing: You will be collaborating with an expert team to optimize the delivery of ad impressions via our video offering at scale, reaching millions of users daily. You will build high-performance JavaScript libraries that run in the browser. This role focuses more on the technical aspects of ad technology, with less emphasis on UI/UX, so a strong command of Javascript and associated coding practices is essential. You will leverage your ability to interpret business requirements and deliver solutions that help our clients effectively monetize their traffic. You will actively participate in code reviews, documentation, testing, and performance considerations throughout the feature development lifecycle. You will seek to understand the business purpose behind the tasks at hand, through understanding customer personas and their workflows, as well as understanding company objectives. You will regularly suggest technical improvements as well as tactical process improvements. The skills and experience you bring to the job: Experience building JavaScript frameworks and utilizing the latest ECMAScript standards for web applications Experience working with video technologies supported natively in modern browsers An intimate understanding of core web technologies and the browser environment Understanding of how to apply best practices and design patterns appropriately A high degree of ownership of the code and product you work on You consider yourself an autonomous code contributor, and can deliver work with little or no guidance. Passion for unit testing and writing reusable/maintainable code Track record of communicating and contributing ideas, risk assessments, feature prioritization while weighing potential business impact Bonus Skills: Experience with ad serving technology, including GAM, header bidding, and/or Prebid.js a plus About Raptive Raptive’s mission is to power creator independence. The range provided is Raptive’s reasonable estimate of the annualized base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, geographic location, knowledge, skills and abilities.
