Company Overview: Our client is a direct-to-consumer luxury furniture manufacturer, known for producing high-end, custom products that embody quality and craftsmanship. They are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Sr. Purchasing Buyer to join their team and oversee the company's procurement activities, including sourcing fabrics. Position Overview: The Sr. Purchasing Buyer will be responsible for developing and executing purchasing strategies, sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to manage relationships with key suppliers and collaborate effectively with internal departments. Candidates with experience in procurement, particularly in the furniture industry, are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost savings and improve efficiency. Source and evaluate vendors based on quality, price, and delivery speed. Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms. Collaborate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs. Manage raw material receivers and oversee the full procurement process. Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment. Manage relationships with key suppliers and resolve issues as they arise. Process inventory usage, including cycle counts, adjustments, and disposal reports. Handle vendor payables and 3-way matching for procurement. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent work experience. 3 - 5 years of experience in the furniture industry preferred. Proven experience as a Purchasing Buyer. Proficiency in negotiating contracts and vendor management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and work well under pressure. Organizational Relationship: Reports to the VP of Operations. Travel Requirements: Less than 5%.
