*Please note - this is an evergreen role*Role Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineer with 8+ years of professional expertise to lead our mechatronics projects and initiatives. As a senior member of staff, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating complex electro-mechanical systems, combining elements of electronics, mechanical engineering, control systems, and robotics. Your role will involve overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from concept development to implementation and optimization. Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and integration of mechatronic systems, including mechanical components, electronics, sensors, actuators, and control systems. Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from concept generation to prototyping, testing, and final production. Conduct comprehensive system analysis and modeling to optimize performance, functionality, and reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, to ensure seamless integration of mechatronic systems. Develop and implement control algorithms, firmware, and software interfaces for mechatronic systems. Define and execute testing and validation plans to ensure compliance with design specifications and performance requirements. Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and advancements in mechatronics engineering, and assess their applicability to current and future projects. Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and support to junior engineers and team members. Collaborate with external partners, suppliers, and stakeholders to identify and incorporate new technologies and components. Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in mechatronics engineering, with a focus on electro-mechanical systems integration and control. Strong expertise in designing and developing complex mechatronic systems, including mechanical components, electronics, sensors, actuators, and control systems. In-depth knowledge of sensors, actuators, motors, and their integration into mechatronic systems. Experience in developing and implementing control algorithms and software interfaces for mechatronic systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to optimize system performance and troubleshoot complex issues. Excellent understanding of system integration, robotics, automation, and control theory. Proven track record of successfully leading and managing mechatronics projects from conception to implementation. Excellent communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills. Preferred Skills & Experience Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) for 3D modeling and design. Unlimit Ventures is a venture studio that formulates, de-risks and launches new companies.
