QualificationsQualified candidates will have a BSCE degree, California Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer, plus a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in land development and/or public works; or the equivalent work experience of twelve (12) years in the industry. Qualified candidates will also have a minimum of eight (8) years of management experience supervising the work of engineers, designers, and other project support staff.Candidates for this position must demonstrate:· Strong independent thought and decision-making abilities· Possess demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills· Exhibit management ability· Be adept in establishing and maintaining strong and positive working relationships with clients/public-agency personnel and in-house staff.Candidates managerial experience must include the following:· Supervision of engineering design teams· Management of project schedules and budgets· Preparation and management of contracts, fee proposals, and scopes of work; significant experience in client and preparation of contracts, fee proposals, and scopes of work· Significant experience in client and public-agency interactions.
