Under the direction of the Vice President for Finance & Facilities, the Senior Accountant is responsible for preparing financial reports, including the Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash Flow Statement. Specifically, the incumbent shall perform these duties, among others: Prepares and records assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses by comparing and analyzing account information to ensure proper classifications. Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies. Produces error-free accounting reports and present their results. Analyzes financial information and summarizes financial status in understandable terms. Directs external audits to ensure compliance with institutional and external policies. Assists with the preparation of tax returns, including the Form 990. Assists with the Tax Credit compliance reporting. Ensures that audit reports are filed with external agencies in a timely manner. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor. Powered by JazzHR
