Posting End Date: Work Place Flexibility: Onsite Legal Entity: Entergy Services, LLC JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE Student/Intern position to work in the Nuclear Projects organization. This position will support development and installation of Capital Projects at River Bend Nuclear Station. This position is responsible for aiding and supporting Nuclear Operations - Construction Management, Project Management, and/or Engineering discipline preferred. The student will be a temporarily employed full-time college student in an accredited four-year institution of higher learning, who will receive practical work experience in their field of study. JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Develop elements of design change packages with supervisory oversight Perform engineering calculations within established standards and procedures Perform evaluations of fuel cycle design Investigate corrective actions for operating problems Perform calculations on plant capability and efficiency improvement Testing instrumentation/equipment malfunction Evaluate plant equipment responses to transients Determine appropriate materials for specific applications Establish standard designs, drawings, reference files and/or cost data Conduct transient and dynamic stability studies Prepare engineering specifications for purchases Monitor plant system performance and provide support of operations and maintenance activities Implements projects in accordance with regulatory requirements, and company policies and procedures. Coordinates activities to minimize plant and system downtime and maximize plant power generation. Develops and maintains tools to improve the efficiency of performing project work. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Minimum education required of the position Pursuing a BS in Construction Management, Project Management, or related Engineering degree from an accredited University/College. Must have a Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale). Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position Computer skills: familiar with various databases, as well as Windows environment and Microsoft (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
