The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing attorney with a background in special education law. Attention to detail, strong research, writing, and analytical skills are essential for this role. Duties:Provide legal representation and counsel to clients in matters related to special education law.Advocate for clients in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, due process hearings, and other proceedings.Conduct legal research, analysis, and case preparation.Draft legal documents such as complaints, due process complaints, settlement agreements, and briefs.Represent clients in administrative hearings, mediation sessions, and negotiations.Collaborate with clients, educators, administrators, and other stakeholders to develop effective legal strategies.Stay updated on changes and developments in special education laws and regulations.Advise clients on compliance with federal and state laws governing special education. Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the State Bar of California.Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing attorney.Background in special education law.Attention to detail and accuracy.Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.Effective communication and advocacy skills. Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications:Admission to the State Bar of California.
