Responsibilities and Duties: Candidate will be responsible for performing software airworthiness evaluations for Army Aviation systems and supporting safety airworthiness assessments. Candidate will provide software technical expertise and participate in audits and assessments for Army systems software architectures and programs. Candidate will support software requirements identification and development process for Army Aviation systems software architectures. Candidate will exercise the ability to recognize top-level functionality of a system and determine the design controls necessary to prevent hazardous conditions. Candidate will execute critical and mission-critical software systems analysis throughout the life cycle from initial requirements through design, implementation, testing, delivery, and support. Requirements and Qualifications: US Citizenship required. Bachelor's degree in technical discipline is strongly desired. Minimum of 3 years of software and/or systems engineering experience. Should have an active secret security clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain). Experience developing and/or testing software for Radar systems. Software development or V&V analysis experience with a critical system. Familiarity with one or more System/Software Safety requirements or standards: MIL-STD-882E, JSSSEH, AMCOM REG 385-17, PM_HASA: PM Handbook for Aviation Software Airworthiness, AMAAC: Army Military Airworthiness Certification Criteria, DO-178C.
