Position details Interactive Business Systems is teaming up with a Wauwatosa area client to locate and bring on a Software Support Specialist on a direct hire opportunity Job overview The Software Support Specialist provides support and technical issue resolution via email, phone and other electronic mediums tothe Client'scustomers, global partners and domestic sales personnel: Create targeted examples illustrating specific features of theClient's software Evaluate issues to be resolved using logicalproblem solvingtechniques and create/obtain relevant technical details to solve the customer's problem Contribute feedback on customer needs and expectations to the development team, product managers, and marketing managers Responsible for the process of technical documentation for development (help files, FAQ, technical solutions, case studies,etc) Min Requirements Background with PC hardware/printersetup Background in software testing Strong expertise to navigate current Windows (desktop and server) operating systems Familiar with SQL and database practices (including the Microsoft SQL package) Familiar with Microsoft IIS Web server management/troubleshooting Familiar with networking principles (TCPIP, HTTP, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory) Expertise to manage concurrent tasks throughout a given work day Great communication abilities, both verbal and written o Typing proficiency: 40 wpm o The expertise to convey technical principles to a non-technical audience and vice versa Excellent troubleshooting techniques within a team setting including: o Problem breakdown methods o Create/obtain relevant technical info o Develop and execute resolution plan A degree from a technical college, an associate's degree, or bachelor's degree from a college/university/equivalent; or relevant workplace background in related position; or equivalent combination of education and background Additional Requirements Background in escalating incidents after fully exhausting the tools and info available Expertise to interpret a variety of instructions in oral, written and diagram form Familiar with principles scripting language desired (vbscript, Python) Commitment to prompt response to customer inquiries Interested applicants should send a resume and brief cover note to the attention ofChris Douglasat Interactive Business Systems ( [ Link Removed ] ) IBS offers a competitive compensation and full benefits package to all employees.
