Software Engineer, Portfolio Management

What you'll do: As part of our Software Engineering team, you will play a vital role in designing, developing and maintaining software components that support the next generation of automated portfolio management tools. You will work closely with experienced engineers, product managers and portfolio managers and contribute to the development of cutting-edge portfolio construction software and data. You'll get to use the latest technology paradigms on Google Cloud including modularity, functional programming and reactive applications. More specifically you'll: Design, develop and test software modules for portfolio construction applications Model the business data into the right data store Add automations to the infrastructure Assist in maintaining and improving existing software applications Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code Work directly with Ethic's engineering, product, and business teams throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle Who you are: You prioritize building strong relationships, and enjoying the journey You're kind, curious, and interested in other people's perspectives You enjoy solving hard problems and learning from others along the way You're inventive and excited about building something new You're passionate about positively impacting the future of our planet and humanity What you'll bring to the table: 3+ years of Software Engineering experience Strong programming skills in Java Knowledge of RDBMS. NoSQL experience a plus Strong understanding of functional programming paradigms Familiarity with unit testing tools Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms Passionate about Software and technology. Interest in Asset Management a plus Excellent problem solving and analytical skills Strong collaboration and communication skills About Ethic: Ethic is working toward a future where all investing is sustainable investing. Compensation & Benefits: Compensation at Ethic is a combination of base salary, equity (stock options) in the company, and benefits. The base salary for this role will range from $100,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
