A software developer at Group W routinely applies programming and software engineering expertise to architect, develop, and enhance defense analytic and workflow tools. Knowledge of a range of languages and web-based technologies is critical. Developers will work on a hybrid team with other software developers and requirement analysts to build and maintain a wide variety of defense applications. Requirements: DoD Secret Clearance Four-year STEM degree (Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, etc.) Experience using at least two of the following programs: C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python U.S. Citizen Preferred: CompTIA Security+ Certified Experience with feature-driven development Experience working on Department of Defense organizational and workflow processes Graduate-level coursework in computer programming Responsibilities: Develop web-based applications within existing frameworks Integrate data mappings and exchanges between different DoD tools Enhance existing DoD modeling and simulation tools Maintain updated knowledge of new and emerging industry trends and technology Modify software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance or upgrade interfaces Salary: $80,000 to $120,000 ( provided as a general guideline only. Compensation dependent upon relevant work experience related to the scope of the position, education, training, and market considerations).
