Job Title: Skilled Commercial Carpenters Wanted Company: United Trades of America Location: Macon, MS Job Description: United Trades of America is on the lookout for skilled commercial carpenters to join our dynamic team. If you have a passion for craftsmanship and a dedication to excellence, we want to hear from you! Compensation: $15 - $25 per hour, depending on experience Key Responsibilities: Construct, install, and repair wood and other material structures in commercial settings. Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements. Accurately measure, cut, shape, and join materials using hand and power tools. Assemble and fasten materials using nails, screws, staples, and adhesives. Build structural frameworks, including walls, floors, and ceilings. Safely erect scaffolding and ladders for work at various heights. Ensure all work meets local building codes and safety standards. Collaborate effectively with other trades and construction personnel. Requirements: Proven commercial carpentry experience. Ability to read and understand technical documents and blueprints. Skilled in using carpentry tools and equipment (saws, hammers, levels, etc.). Knowledge of carpentry techniques and materials. Strong math skills for accurate measurements and calculations. Physical stamina and strength for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet. High school diploma or equivalent; carpentry apprenticeship completion preferred.
