Job Title: Summary Justice Clerk : Prosecutions : HC609462 Location: Mottisfont Court, Winchester Salary: Scale 4, GBP 24,921 : GBP 27,351 per annum Hours: 37 hours per week Contract: Permanent Closing date: Sunday 17th March 2024 at 23.59 hours. Job Purpose Are you looking for a role that has a positive impact on Road Safety? Do you have the skills to work as part of a diverse team in a fast paced environment? As a SJU Clerk you will work within our Prosecution Team and carry out a wide range of clerical functions involved in the enforcement and prosecution of offences that occur on the strategic road network. Your duties will involve a range of tasks required to process cases through the fixed penalty and criminal justice systems with a view to improving road safety and tackling poor driving. You will use a wide variety of police systems, liaise with the public and develop a good understanding of the relevant legislation and procedures involved in road traffic matters. Key accountabilities include but are not limited to: 1. Deal with correspondence and process telephone calls in a professional and timely manner 2. Liaise with and provide guidance to internal and external individuals, departments, agencies and companies 3. Accurately input and update information onto various databases within the unit. 4. Interrogate the different databases to deal with queries 5. To generate standard and non standard documents 6. Carry out general administrative duties including dealing with incoming and outgoing post 7. Adhere to Service Level Agreements within the Summary Justice Unit 8. To provide cover to other sections as directed by the Summary Justice Team Leader 9. To give regular and effective service. For more information on the role, please clickhere.
