Located in Bend, OR Salary: $70,000 Job Title: Shop Foreman Job Description: The Shop Foreman is a key leadership position within the team, responsible for fostering a positive and safe work environment. This role requires strong ownership and professional leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have prior mechanical experience with construction equipment and the ability to oversee and perform maintenance and repairs on construction equipment, fleet vehicles, and aerial lifts. This position reports directly to the Employee Relations Manager. Compensation: Salary: $60,000 - $70,000, depending on experience (DOE). Responsibilities: Ensure the safety of team members in the work environment. Manage and maintain the shop and overall work environment. Train and mentor junior technicians, setting a positive example. Prioritize and execute equipment repairs based on business needs. Manage all aspects of the company's tools, including inspections, maintenance, repair, distribution, purchasing, and inventory control. Maintain company vehicles and equipment. Oversee outside rental equipment and manage the in-house rental program. Maintain the shop and facility, ensuring safety, maintenance, and security. Keep the shop area clean, organized, and free of hazardous materials. Schedule material and tool deliveries as needed. Requirements: Adhere to all safety rules and regulations. Meet the physical demands of the job, including standing for long periods and lifting heavy loads (at least 50 pounds). Excellent knowledge of power tools and machinery. Ability to work in various weather conditions. Valid driver's license and licensed equipment operator. Strong organizational, leadership, and motivational skills. Education and Experience: Associate's degree or a minimum of 5 years of related experience. Demonstrated leadership skills. Detailed knowledge of the shop industry. Team-oriented with strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities. Awareness of health and safety protocols. Efficient time management and multitasking skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Basic computer skills. Personality Profile: Strong communicator and listener. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to handle difficult and sensitive situations professionally. Effective problem solver. Job Conditions: This position generally requires a minimum of an 8-hour workday. Each project will define and dictate the actual workweek, workdays, and working hours.
