Overview POSITION OVERVIEW:Under general supervision, follows oral and written work orders in the storage or movement of received stock, equipment, or merchandise. Checks the incoming and outgoing of parts to ensure accuracy in quantity, destination and routes. Keep records regarding the verification of receipt or shipment of parts.Uses hand truck, forklift or power devices to haul materials to or from storage or worksites to designated areas and stores items in bins, on floors, or on shelves for convenient removal. May packages and ship products to meet sales requirements. May assist Stocking or Assembly areas as needed.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. * Receive, put away, and issue parts according to procedures * Control of received goods and cross-check with bill of delivery, entry into inventory system and reporting of damaged goods received. * Pull work order kits according to procedures * Inventory stored items * Verify accurate shipping documents such as bill of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels. * Operates moving equipment in the performance of tasks * Compliance with safety expectations.ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONTo perform this job successfully, the applicable candidate must be a team player and able to make decisions under pressure with a cross functional team of individuals. The additional requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. * High school graduate or equivalent. * Minimum 1-year experience in stockroom and/or Shipping & Receiving operations, similar field. * Experience with computerized inventory systems - Material Requisition Planning (MRP) * Experience with data entry (excel) * Ability to be forklift certified * Must be fluent in English; read, write and speak. * Overtime is required. * Moderate lifting up to 40 pounds * Warehouse and Shipping & Receiving environments * Must wear Personal Protective Safety wear such as steel toe shoes and safety glasses when in the plant * Must comply with all applicable safety and environmental rules and regulations
