Job descriptionCareer 1 Inc is seeking a dedicated Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our client's team in Watervliet, NY. As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will play a crucial role in managing the flow of goods in and out of our warehouse, ensuring efficient order fulfillment and inventory management. Ocassionaly, person is also required to operate forklift. Duties: - Process orders for shipment and ensure accurate picking, packing, and shipping of products.- Utilize warehouse management systems and RF scanners to track inventory movements.- Operate pallet jacks, reach trucks, and other equipment to move materials within the warehouse.- Perform receiving activities, including unloading trucks, inspecting goods, and verifying shipments.- Maintain organized storage areas and conduct regular stock checks to monitor inventory levels.- Collaborate with team members to fulfill orders promptly and accurately.- Assist with inventory audits, cycle counts, and resolving discrepancies.- Adhere to health and safety regulations while handling materials and operating equipment. Experience: - Prior experience in order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations. - Licensed Forklift operator & previous experience is preferred- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and RF scanners.- Familiarity with order picking, packing techniques, and operating equipment like pallet jacks and reach trucks.- Knowledge of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems is a plus.
