Want to join us on this important journey?Role Overview Position description: The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for performance of a broad spectrum of tasks and services in support of assembly operations, production and business unit objectives. Activities include applying advanced skills in the execution of existing procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment to Shipping and Receiving teammates and adapts new procedures and techniques. This position relies on moderate to extensive background and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals solving complex problems and serving as a resource on varied tasks. Key responsibilities: Perform and manage administrative functional support to the shipping/receiving departments. Ship goods and verify items against import/export requirements where applicable. Plan, schedule and manage the efficient movement of material from shipping to customers. Ship finished goods, completing all required paperwork to all internal and external compliance requirements. Update info on computer and in SAP to maintain inventory records. Perform SAP transactions as required for parts being purchased, received & shipped, into inventory. Record shipped & received items according to established system procedures. Deliver items to designated areas if applicable. Label and process transactions according to established procedures. Ensure the completion of all paperwork relating to the shipment of goods. Organize materials for quality inspections as applicable before shipment. Assist with loading, unloading and transport (forklift) of materials and finished product. Pack and ship small parts and production units domestically and internationally. Utilize FTL, LTL, OTR, Air, Ocean, Small Pack and other various carrier types to ship product to customers. Perform other duties as required. Expertise to maintain focus regarding safety, quality and productivity. Expertise to work cooperatively with supervisors, co-workers, customers, and others in a team environment displaying mutual trust and respect. Expertise to be regular and predictable in attendance. Expertise to bend, stoop, stand, kneel for 8+ hours per day and lift 35+ pounds repetitively with or without accommodation and meet other physical demands based on a medical screening following post offer. Expertise to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, and other PPE as needed for 8+ hours per day. Demonstrated expertise to read, interpret and comply with policies, applicable regulatory, safety and company rules and requirements, operating instructions, procedures and governmental regulations. Demonstrate time, priority and stress organizational skills in a high energy environment meeting deadlines while maintaining a customer-oriented demeanor. Self-directed & action oriented with the expertise to work with minimal supervision and resolve most questions and problems. Minimum requirements: At least 18yrs of age or older. Expertise to provide verification of US Citizenship or permanent residency to satisfy ITAR/EAR restrictions Willing to relocate to Foley, Alabama; no relocation or interview travel reimbursement available Read, write, speak and understand English language Apply intermediate and some advanced skills to perform functions related to the position Under moderate supervision, perform varied tasks of intermediate complexity Strong written and spoken communication expertise Expertise to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees Basic office administration skills such as typing, coping, and filing Intermediate Microsoft office suite skills Knowledge of inventory processes such as parts flow, FIFO, JIT, kanbans, etc. Resolve most questions and problems referring only the most complex issues to higher levels Self-directed & action oriented with the minimal supervision Demonstrate time, priority and stress organizational skills in a quick paced environment meeting deadlines while maintaining a customer-orientated demeanor Preferred Requirements: Work background in SAP systems and transactions Knowledge of lean manufacturing processes . Education/Certification: Basic requirements: This position necessitates an HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high-school training) with a min of 2 yrs of relevant background.
