Role Overview and Key responsibilities: These statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this job. They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and/or skills required of all personnel in this job. Other duties may be assigned based on business needs. Responsible for the loading and unloading of parts and finished goods from various trucks and shipping vehicles. Responsible for safely securing and affixing hardware for transportation (domestic and international) Ensures hardware/goods are packaged per transportation regulations and procedures. Operates fork lift and crane to transfer OEM inventory / supplies and containers to required locations. Operates fork lift and crane to load and/or unload OEM inventory / supplies and containers both incoming and outgoing, trucks and/or trailers. Receives, stores, issues and delivers production hardware in accordance with established procedures. Compiles and maintains accurate records of shipped hardware. Compares quantity and part number of items received with procurement data to ensure completeness and accuracy of order. Weighs OEM inventory, and shipping containers. Works to standard work unaided with little or no supervision. Performs duties as described below. Supports Continuous Improvement initiatives. Supports the packaging, labeling, loading and unloading of all OEM Shipments per processes. Assess stock supply and reorder status. Interface effectively with other shifts and departments to optimize product flow. Complies with all safety and environmental regulations, and works to create and promote a safe work atmosphere. Performs all other duties as assigned. Requirements one year Fork lift background necessary experience operating various types of forklifts, as well as other devices such as pallet jacks, tuggers, etc Basic technical skills including knowledge of an ERP system or other similar system used to control the movement of product. Expertise to use basic hand tools Expertise to use basic office equipment. Expertise to operate and to be certified as a fork lift operator. Basic knowledge or entry level of relevant job related experience. Background using a scan gun (preferred) Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Good communication abilities both written and verbal. Must exhibit the expertise to work safely and cooperatively with supervisors, co-workers, customers, etc. Must be able to work rotating shifts, and to work overtime and on week-ends. Familiar with standard work and continuous Improvement preferred. Expertise to work in a constant state of alertness. Expertise to be regular and predictable in attendance. Expertise to work under stress, common deadlines and under pressure. Expertise to work cooperatively with supervisors, co-workers, customers, etc. Expertise to follow policies and procedures of the company. Able to work efficiently across functional boundaries, and have demonstrated time organizational skills to handle multiple fast-paced priorities. Expertise to sit, stand, walk, reach, twist, climb, crouch, stoop & kneel and lift up to 50 lbs. Expertise to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, and other PPE as needed for 8+ hours per day. Minimum requirements: This job necessitates an HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high-school training) with a min of two years of relevant background. In the absence of a HS diploma, GED or AA/AS degree, 4yrs of relevant background is required. Must be a US person. At Collins, the paths we pave together lead to limitless possibility.
