JOB DESCRIPTION Chubb is an exciting and dynamic place for individuals who are seeking career opportunity and advancement. The Commercial Insurance team has an opening for an Underwriter to join our Energy Practice (salary and title commensurate with experience level). This is a high-impact role that is focused on growing a predominantly Renewable Energy and Power book of business with a specific focus on property, both 100% placements and quota share.The Underwriter will also learn and be trained to handle other lines of business: Package, Automobile, Pollution, Workers' Compensation, Umbrella and International. The Underwriter with Chubb's Energy department will be responsible for the growth and profitability of an approximately a $5-7 million book of business for account profiles that span the entire US. Demonstration of the following skills and abilities: Strong sales and marketing skills along with the ability to position accounts and close deals. Demonstrated success in marketing, producer/book management and new business development. Ability to successfully negotiate on all levels with both internal and external partners and nurture key producer relations. High proficiency with the multi-line P&C underwriting process and risk analysis. Effective desk management. Exemplary ability to effectively interact with customers and coworkers at all levels. Knowledge and proficiency with underwriting technical issues, compliance, coverage, products, pricing & strategies. Results orientation, entrepreneurial spirit, business acumen, self-motivation and strong ability to work in a collaborative team environment. Responsible for the professional development, retention, and performance assessment of team members. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 2+ years underwriting experience within the Energy industry and/or commercial P&C multi-line experience with a desire to specialize in the Energy sectors of Renewable Energy, Power Generation, Mining, and Oil & Gas Experience with multiple lines of insurance Bachelor's degree Requisition #: 340680nt8p0wqlg
