About the Position: As a Sr. Branch Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting our project team with network infrastructure rollouts, server migrations, and Office 365 deployments. In addition, you will also work with our consulting services team for network discoveries and helping to collect data for quoting projects for new and existing clients. Additional responsibilities include visiting client sites to troubleshoot desktop/laptop, server, network, and new hardware installations. Participating in a rotational on-call schedule, daily time entry and detailed ticket note entries will be required. Responsibilities: Follow project workplans to configure, deploy or migrate new and existing infrastructure. (server, networking, desktops, laptops, and printers) Work with project managers to provide progress updates and complete projects within hourly budgets. After-Hours work may be required for some projects. On-site discoveries and data collection of network infrastructures for existing and prospective clients Install/Configure/Troubleshoot: PC’s/MACs, peripherals, network printers, mobile devices, UPS, Windows servers, networking equipment, 3 rd party Software, Windows Server, Windows and MAC OS, Exchange and Office 365. Support remote GadellNet teams with on-site troubleshooting as needed. Support 3 rd party vendors for installations of New ISP Connections, VOIP phones, Network printers, etc. Warranty claims for OEM manufacturers (Lenovo, Dell, Meraki, Apple, Ubiquiti etc) Low Voltage Work: cabling, mounting network equipment, assembling/mounting server and network racks, mounting TVs and other AV equipment. Communicate technical resolutions to non-technical clients as well as provide the occasional training on hardware and software usage. Participate in an on-call rotation. Enter daily time entry and weekly timesheets, and expense reports. Requirements: 4+ years of experience OR applicable certification with the following technologies Desktop and Laptop systems (PC, MAC is a PLUS) OR A+ Certification Tablets and Mobile Devices – Microsoft, Apple, Android Active Directory (Add/Removing Users, Modifying Permissions, working with GPO, and Powershell) Microsoft Windows Server Operating systems Server 2019 and older or MCSA Certification Microsoft windows server migrations and or new server setups File, Print, Active Directory, application servers 2-3 years’ experience working with the following technology: UPS Devices – Installing and configuring desktop and larger server room devices Networking hardware (Meraki, Ubiquity, Sonicwall) – design, installation, and configuration (firewalls, switches, wireless access points) OR Network + / CCNA or Equivalent Meraki Certification Configuring/troubleshooting VLANs, DHCP, VPN, ISP Connections Small – Medium Low voltage cabling installations (Cat 5e/ Cat6) Proficiency in troubleshooting complex systems and understanding network infrastructures. Designing/Migrating/Troubleshooting Microsoft Exchange Server or Online Exchange (Office 365) Installing and troubleshooting Server Hardware and Operating Systems (Microsoft Windows Server 2012-2019) Familiarity with navigating Hypervisors (VmWare, HyperV, Citrix, Windows RDP, Azure) File share permissions and connectivity troubleshooting AD/Azure AD Maintenance Groups, Group Policies, Account lockouts, Advanced user creation, AAD Sync and sync troubleshooting Multifunction Printer/Scanner Configuration and Troubleshooting Installing and troubleshooting Network Storage Appliances including Logical drive partitioning, and performance monitoring and support ConnectWise or other PSA Experience N-Central or other RMM Tools Extensive application support experience Including Microsoft Office 365/ Microsoft Office / Teams Workstation Imaging Software Antivirus Workstation Encryption (Bit Locker) Backup/Recovery Software MDM software Completed, or currently enrolled in, GadellNet Leadership Academy Leadership experience preferred but not required. Knowledge of diagnostic utilities, and ability to research a wide range of issues Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. This includes strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport building and listening and questioning skills.
