Advanced Navigation and Positioning Corporation (ANPC) is an exciting, small company in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. We are experiencing growth and looking to hire some key players to our already engaged, talented team right in Hood River, Oregon. This is an onsite position, 5 days a week. We offer a full benefits package, including 4 weeks of paid time off and 11 paid holidays (part of which is the week between Christmas and New Years). Position Summary Work in the Software Engineering group to update, maintain and develop new software products for the Transponder Landing System (TLS) and Local Area Multilateration System (LAMS) products. Having a diverse skill set is useful for the job. Having a few of the key technological responsibilities is desired. Key Technological Responsibilities C programming proficiency Developing C++/MFC user interfaces Developing software for embedded real-time operating systems (QNX, Wind River, LINUX, etc.) Developing software that interfaces in complex hardware/software systems Developing software using Microsoft Visual Studio in a Windows environment Designing for safety critical systems Digital signal processing Hardware device control Simulation and test Python Test Utilities development Process Responsibilities Developing within all stages of software life-cycle Designing, developing and executing formal software testing Software quality assurance and tools Managing software version control Documentation, verbal communication and coordination Education & Experience Requirements Seven or more years experience in software engineering. A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or relevant work experience. Aerospace and/or aviation experience preferred but not required. Experience in the following systems (individually or collectively) highly preferred: Radar and Transponder Systems; VMWare ESXI Hypervisor Systems; DevOps. Hardware experience a plus Gitlab, Jira, Jama a plus
