We're looking for an experienced sales executive to join our rapidly growing consulting practice as a senior-level consultative salesperson to drive new business focusing on investor-owned and large public power electric, natural gas, and water utilities.The senior sales executive will manage consulting opportunities from lead generation to sales pursuit to close. The results-driven individual will partner with consulting, internal sales, and marketing teams to promote existing offerings, as well as develop materials for new consulting offerings. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of developing and cultivating a well-qualified sales pipeline and consistently meeting sales targets. The individual is a team player who can work in a high-pressure environment with tight deadlines and abstract work products.E Source provides predictive data science, research and advisory, and solution services to help utilities make decisions that benefit their customers, their bottom line, and our planet. What you'll do Manage consulting opportunities from lead generation to sales pursuit to close. Craft complex proposals leveraging the full set of E Source capabilities. Identify and qualify new business opportunities, participate in sales presentations, and lead the response for qualified proposals. Leverage existing utility relationships to drive new consulting business. Participate in strategic sales meetings and assist in developing sales forecast. Collaborate with internal sales and marketing teams to develop sales and marketing material for any new sales pursuits. Develop strategic account plan for assigned region and engage with potential prospects. Gain and share understanding of prospects organization, business strategies, and key challenges to ensure the right solution is offered to meet their needs and objectives. Use in-depth knowledge and insight of key competitors to create compelling reasons for prospective clients to engage with E Source. What will make you a good fit At least 10 years of proven consultative sales and closing experience. Existing contacts and clients across the utilities sector in the US and Canada Electric and gas utility operations industry knowledge is a plus Experience and comprehensive product and industry knowledge in the utilities sector Experience selling to and working with senior-level client executives; client relationship building and relationship management Ability to work in high-pressure environment with tight deadlines and abstract work products Excellent team player with communication and facilitation skills (oral, written, and listening), as well as proven decision-making and problem-solving skills Independent professional with a high-energy and results-oriented approach (go-getter) A little about E Source Utilities across the US and Canada face the same fundamental, day-to-day challenges: to ensure reliable service for every customer while maintaining and modernizing aging distribution networks and meeting regulatory requirements-all while keeping rates affordable. The budgeted salary for this position is $100,00 - $200,000 USD + sales bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience. This role will be 100% remote with travel as expected and needed.
