Senior Research Analyst - Financial Services Location: Chicago, IL, United StatesMintel is in search of a research and market analyst with expertise in financial services and insurance industries focusing on US and Canadian consumers. Qualified candidates will use industry knowledge and critical thinking skills to develop quantitative surveys, analyze consumer and market data, create custom and syndicated content, and present to clients.This is a remote position based in Toronto.What You Will Be Doing: Analyze US/Canadian consumer behavior across the financial services industry (credit cards, banking, insurance, lending, and fintech) to help businesses market effectively to various consumer segments. Create insightful reports that combine consumer data with secondary research on market trends and innovations. Provide critical thinking, insights, and forward-looking statements impacting clients' businesses. Develop and conduct client presentations and written deliverables covering market, consumer, and product insights and trends. Represent Mintel as an industry expert at press events, tradeshows, and conferences. Respond to journalists and other media requests.Who We Are Looking For: A Researcher: Comfortable analyzing data and providing insightful analysis. Experience in consumer/media/marketing research, shopper or consumer insights, branding, or consulting is preferred. A Subject Matter Expert: Well-versed in the Financial Services industry and market dynamics. Naturally Curious: Great at navigating data and asking deeper questions to uncover patterns. Self-Directed: Initiative to solve problems and manage multiple projects autonomously. Tech-Savvy: Excellent Microsoft Office skills and ability to derive insights from large data sets. Great Communicator: Polished verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to various partners.
