Job description: The Customer Program Manager is responsible for the overall program delivery of the Harman Infotainment Systems specific to an individual customer. The Program Manager will be the primary customer contact and escalation path for the customer. With the team, the Program Manager will be responsible for planning and managing the end-to-end program. This includes not only planning the product development and testing, but the ramp up and readiness of the manufacturing plants. This role will be responsible to manage costs in order to meet program goals of the largest grossing program for this customer. They will maintain the technical customer relationship and have overall ownership of the schedule, scope and budget for all of the customers infotainment programs. Supervisory Responsibilities: Indirect responsibility for product development (EE/ME and SW), Functional Owners, Software Leads and Product testing and managing off shore teammates. Position duties: Initial planning and scope development during the RFI/RFQ phases of a project Implementation of the initial Harman PLM Process into the execution phases Responsible for initial project set-up and deployment readiness Responsible for budget planning and forecasting for all active projects Responsible for resource forecasting and planning for all active projects Be the customer Program Management interface during the initial RFI/RFQ phases of the program – responsible to manage the customer from the entry level to the senior level. Build and maintain a customer interface team to support customer relationships and manage the overall program development Responsible for evaluation, and development of teammates’ performance. Manage program risk proactively, identify program risks and coordinate meetings with the PM and multi discipline functions to address risks before they become issues. Accountable for ensuring communication of the customer qualifications within the organization and interface with multiple groups within to ensure the customer’s expectations are being met. Provide program status and represent program internally and externally to senior-level executives during program, quality and operations reviews. Set direction and influence cross-department engagement for program execution and drive synchronization across multiple program teams. Basic qualifications: Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. 15+ years related technical background, 10+ years senior in a leadership, program management, customer, supplier relationships Applicant should have exposure handling large projects across region in Automotive, Cloud & IOT PMP, Prince two or certifications related to Program Management will be preferred Extensive background in consulting and/or client-facing role is preferred Must have background in development of complex electronic systems Must have ability in driving complex projects and program deliverables Background in automotive and specifically infotainment systems and their applications preferred Systems/software background with complex development cycles that span multiple release versions preferred Must be able to articulate vision and influence decision making outcomes with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, and the customer. Must have a "whatever-it-takes" attitude using diplomatic leadership skills within a collaborative teamwork environment to accomplish the necessary results. Proven and good communication, analytical, judgment, initiative and execution skills. Strong Business acumen required; preferably with P&L background Analytical thinking; preferably certified Green or Black Belt Drive for Results, Team member, Change Orientation, Customer Focus, Self Awareness Background with managing distributed development teams is preferred Eligibility Qualifications: Willingness to travel.
