Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Medical Biller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing, particularly in the mental health field, and the ability to manage the unique challenges of a startup. You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate billing processes and compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of medical billing, including charge entry, claims submission, payment posting, and accounts receivable follow-up. Ensure accurate and timely submission of claims to insurance companies and government payers. Resolve billing discrepancies and denials, working collaboratively with insurance representatives and internal staff. Maintain thorough documentation of billing processes and communications. Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to billing and revenue cycle management. Stay updated on changes in billing regulations and reimbursement policies relevant to outpatient psychiatric services. Assist in the development and implementation of billing policies and procedures for the facility. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical billing, preferably in a psychiatric or mental health setting. Proficient in billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 coding, and insurance reimbursement processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and under pressure in a startup environment. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
