We are seeking Project Managers who will help drive the team's high impact, centered on enabling our partners with smart, repeatable processes, transparent program management, and reporting.As a Senior Manager of Project Management at Capital One, you will drive strategy and execute on high priority projects & processes for the company as part of the Generative AI Program Office . The successful candidate will be an experienced project management professional who understands technology functions and organizations and who has strong analytical, planning, strategic thinking, organizational, and communication skills. You will work with smart and passionate people to deliver results that have a direct impact on the future of Capital One. This is an important and exciting responsibility from day one, working with key engineering, product, and risk stakeholders across the company.General Responsibilities:Leading moderate to large complex projects and programs by providing strategic direction to projects, peers, and direct reportsDesigning, developing, and managing project plans in a complex and dynamic environment, revising needs to meet changing requirementsEnsuring projects are being documented appropriately to mitigate risk and to be delivered on timeLeveraging problem solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans deliver on intentPartnering cross-functionally with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project deliveryBuilding relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitmentsExhibit outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive project and program effortsDemonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment.Display a passion for coaching and developing a team of associates through their leadership styleCommunicating withkey stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomesBasic Qualifications:At least 8 years of Project or Program Management experienceAt least 4 years of experience managing technical projectsPreferred Qualifications:Master's degree10+ years of Technical Project Management experience2+ years of experience working with data engineering, machine learning, or AI teams2+ years of People Management experiencePMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certificationStrong communication and collaboration skillsStrong problem solving and influencing skillsAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $172,900 - $197,300 for Sr Manager, Project ManagementCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
