Senior Mainframe Application Analyst

STAND 8 provides end to end IT solutions to enterprise partners across the United States and with offices in Los Angeles, New York, New Jersey, Atlanta, and more including internationally in Mexico and IndiaWe are seeking an experienced Senior Mainframe Application Analyst to lead and support mainframe application development projects. This role involves advanced expertise in mainframe technologies, relational databases, and application design, as well as leadership in analysis and design efforts. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or have equivalent experience, and will bring strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with project teams and stakeholders.Key Responsibilities: * Develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, and JCL, ensuring efficient and effective performance. * Utilize relational database expertise to manage and support data processes and integrations. * Lead analysis and design processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and high-quality outcomes. * Oversee project work as a lead or senior analyst, providing guidance, problem-solving, and support across multiple initiatives.Qualifications: * Education and Experience: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or five years of equivalent experience. * Mainframe Application Development: At least five years of experience with COBOL, CICS, and JCL for mainframe applications. * Relational Databases: Minimum of five years of relational database experience. * Analysis and Design: Minimum of five years of experience in systems analysis and design. * Leadership Experience: Minimum of three years as a lead or senior analyst. * Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with project managers, business analysts, database administrators, and policy staff.Additional DetailsThe base range for this contract position is $35 - $85/per hour, depending on experience.Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
