This position provides the opportunity to oversee complex litigation from initiation through resolution, with consistent client engagement. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in commercial litigation, including extensive first-chair trial experience, and be comfortable managing various aspects of business and contract disputes.Location: New York, NYDuties:Manage all phases of commercial litigation, from case assessment through to resolutionRepresent clients in diverse cases, including contract disputes, business conflicts, and white-collar defenseDraft, file, and manage all court documents, including pleadings and motionsConduct discovery processes, including depositions, document production, and interrogatoriesNegotiate settlements and advocate for clients in mediations and arbitrationsServe as lead counsel in trials and hearings, representing clients effectively in courtMaintain ongoing client communication, offering legal guidance and case updatesRequirements:8-12 years of commercial litigation experience, including substantial first-chair trial experienceStrong foundation in contract and business dispute managementJuris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law schoolLicensed to practice law in New York or Pennsylvania, depending on office locationBackground in white-collar defense is preferredClerkship experience is a plus but not requiredEducation:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolCertifications:Active law license in New York or Pennsylvania (depending on office location)Skills:Advanced legal research and writing skillsExcellent verbal and written communication abilitiesStrong analytical skills and adept problem-solving abilitiesCapacity to manage multiple cases and adhere to tight deadlinesEffective client relationship management and communication skillsAbility to work independently while being a collaborative team memberBenefits:Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) plan with employer matchingPaid time off and recognized holidaysProfessional development and career growth opportunitiesInclusive benefits package with wellness programs and support Associates at this prestigious firm applaud that they are given high-level work paired with ample resources; the result, they say, is that they receive interesting projects and valuable collaborations with senior associates and partners.
