The ideal candidate will possess exceptional trial preparation skills, demonstrate proficiency in handling all aspects of litigation, and exhibit strong leadership abilities within a collaborative environment.Job Duties:Prepare cases for jury trials.Attend hearings in state and federal court.Take and defend depositions.Attend mediations.Work with expert witnesses.Attend focus groups.Draft law and motion documents.Draft trial-related pleadings (e.g., jury instructions, motions in limine, trial briefs).Engage in strategic case planning.Collaborate closely within a team environment.Conduct legal research.Draft and respond to discovery requests.Manage document production.Draft and respond to meet and confer letters.Communicate effectively with opposing counsel and clients.Requirements:Credentials from an ABA-accredited law school.Active license to practice law/membership in CA State Bar.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail.High productivity with accuracy.Ability to meet deadlines and communicate case progress effectively.Contribution to a positive work environment.Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.7 years of related experience.First and second chair trial experience preferred.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.Active license to practice law/membership in CA State Bar.Skills:Exceptional trial preparation skills.Proficiency in handling all aspects of litigation.Strong leadership abilities within a collaborative environment.Location: Costa Mesa, CABenefits: The firm offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:Health insuranceDental InsuranceVision insuranceLife insurancePaid time offEmployee assistance programDiscretionary bonuses401(k) matching
