Senior Support Worker Preston, Burnley and Lancashire 40 hours per week, Shift pattern – Monday - Friday 8am-4pm / 2pm – 10pm 1 Saturday a month Primary Purpose of the Role: The Senior Support Worker acts as a senior operational practitioner, providing guidance and support to teams on matters of practice, quality, performance, compliance, and resource management. They carry a caseload of complex need service users and may line manage support workers temporarily, deputising for Service Leads when necessary. The role focuses on improving the lives of service users by coordinating the provision of direct housing-related support and management services, working with internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Provide operational support across services, offering guidance on practice, performance, and quality matters. Coordinate and implement service improvement plans in collaboration with the Quality team and Service Leads. Work with the Quality and Safeguarding Team to develop and implement procedures for service users requiring higher levels of support. Serve as a safeguarding lead, advising teams on incident management, practice, and reporting. Act as an operational subject matter expert, contributing to policy and procedure reviews. Manage a caseload of complex need service users and represent services at external operational meetings. Deputise for Service Leads, line manage teams of support workers temporarily, and ensure compliance with voids and arrears protocols.
