Eaton s Vehicle division is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Kearney, NE facility. Relocation assistance is offered for this position. Position Overview The Senior Financial Analyst will support reporting and analysis requirements for the Kearney Plant. The incumbent will prepare and analyze financial data related to rolling forecasts, profit plans, operating reviews, and monthly results as well as take on ad hoc special assignments. This role will assist in the development of forward-looking insights to drive management decisions, actions, and improve operational and financial results. In This Role, You Will Assist with the preparation of profit plan, strategic plan, operating reviews, and reporting of financial data and analysis Analyze monthly inflation and standard material cost changes including metals surcharges. Coordinate standard cost updates as required (at least one annually). Analyze inflation impact Maintain and update annual plant burden rates, including analysis of significant Yo Y changes. Coordinate the plant s cost out initiatives by organizing a cross functional team, monitoring project progress, and backssing viability of new projects Maintain the accuracy of intercompany cross charges and assist intercompany trading partners with analysis as appropriate Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and assistance to the Accounting Manager and the Plant Controller through an in-depth understanding of company accounting policies and practices and business operations in order to support plant operations. Support month-end closing activities, including verification of plant financial position, with variance analysis and recording of journal entries. Provide information and assistance to other departments within the organization regarding financials. Assume role of trainer in financial matters, policies, and procedures within the organization. Assume shared responsibility for review of departmental balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all US GAAP and SOX compliance requirements are met. Focus on continuous business process improvements, challenge current processes/procedures to determine if improvements are a potential and consequently implement process improvements. Assists in internal and external audits as required Manage the monthly rolling forecast and commentary. Collaborates in the development and execution of facility profit plan objectives, the High 5 metrics and other balanced scorecards. Champions and actively participates in the Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) and Eaton Business System (EBS). Increase organizational capability by coaching and developing junior team members, including accounting intern. Required (Basic) Qualifications Bachelor s degree from an accredited institution Minimum two (2) years of accounting and/or finance experience Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future Preferred Qualifications Bachelor s or master s degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Business Administration Accounting/Finance experience in manufacturing plant environment Experience with financial forecasting, budgeting/planning ERP experience within the Oracle platform Khalix or Hyperion for Windows Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel FLDP Graduate Position Success Criteria Ability to balance complex and ambiguous tasks with a strong sense of urgency through effective prioritization Ability to deliver accurate results while meeting established deadlines Ability to be an innovated problem solver, anticipate risks and opportunities, and autonomously strive for continuous improvement Develop and maintain effective relationships with plant staff Academic background should include Cost Accounting and General Accounting. Comprehensive knowledge of Company and Division operations, policies, practices, tax regulations, planning techniques and computer system applications Knowledge and understanding of Cost Accounting Standards & Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems Interpersonal and communication skills to motivate management personnel to conform with plans, procedures, and other operating controls Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and working ability in all Microsoft Office Professional Suite software We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
