Reporting to the Group's Head of Tax, the individual will take a leading role in the tax department. The jobholder will be responsible for the management of direct taxes in the group, including responsibility for tax reporting, UK and Irish Corporation Tax and Transfer Pricing compliance. The individual will also manage one direct tax analyst, manage direct tax relationships with external tax authorities, manage the direct tax P and L and balance sheet (including forecasting) and deliver direct tax advice to senior stakeholders in the wider business (including Group CFO). As part of this role, you'll be responsible for: : Managing for all direct tax matters, including Corporate Taxes, Transfer Pricing and Withholding Taxes across the Group: Identifying and managing direct tax opportunities and risks across the Group: Providing robust direct tax advice to Senior Stakeholders in the wider business (inc. Group CFO): Timely and accurate review and submission of Corporation Tax and other direct tax returns: Managing tax audits and owning direct tax relationships with external tax authorities: Coordinating and reviewing work of external tax advisors: Being the point of contact and managing the relationship with the Group's Financial Auditors (KPMG): Responsible for direct tax governance processes and their continuous improvement: Implementation of appropriate measures in response to new legislation and practices: Managing the direct tax P and L and balance sheet across the group: Supporting with employment tax advisory.
