The Opportunity Provide legal advice and recommendations for initiatives and projects developed in response to client's strategic objectives and business needs. Advise on employment, other personnel, and benefits related matters. Work as a strategic partner with senior leaders. Oversee internal investigations as well as prelitigation and litigation matters. Monitor, manage, and review all work and expenditures for outside counsel. Provide timely, practical, and expert legal advice while ensuring compliance with legal requirements. Required Experience and Competencies Juris Doctor degree and licensed attorney required. 8+ years of significant employment law experience required. A member in good standing with the California or other State Bar required. Effective leadership and management skills. Strong negotiating skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Interest and ability to adapt to changing needs and learn new areas of law. Excellent research skills. Ability to manage internal and outside resources.
