The ideal candidate will focus on class and regulatory enforcement actions and in-depth knowledge of relevant consumer protection laws.Duties:Represent clients in complex commercial litigation involving consumer financial services.Defend financial institutions in class actions and regulatory enforcement actions.Conduct legal research and prepare legal briefs, motions, and other documents.Advise clients on legal risks and regulatory compliance related to consumer financial services.Manage case strategies, including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.Negotiate settlements and draft settlement agreements.Stay current with developments in consumer financial services law and regulatory changes.Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals on case-related matters.Requirements:Minimum of 6 years of experience in complex commercial litigation focusing on consumer financial services.Demonstrated experience in defending financial institutions, including handling class actions and regulatory enforcement actions.In-depth knowledge of the Truth in Lending Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Equal Opportunity Credit Act, and federal and state laws governing unfair, deceptive, and abusive acts and practices.Superior academic credentials.Strong written and oral communication skills.Active Bar license in CO, CA, or PA preferred.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the Bar in CO, CA, or PA is preferred.Skills:Expertise in consumer financial services law and related regulatory issues.Proven ability to handle complex litigation matters and high-stakes cases.Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.Strong negotiation and client management abilities.Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.Benefits Offered:Medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage.Life insurance and short and long-term disability.401(k) retirement savings plan.Health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts.Health savings account.Firm-subsidized emergency child and elder care services.Family and medical leave.Employee assistance program.Pre-tax transportation program.
