American Baptist Homes of the Midwest (ABHM) is hiring a Senior Accountant to join our corporate team based in Eden Prairie, MN. As a Senior Accountant with ABHM, you can experience the best of both worlds be part of a close-knit home office team, while also working with our communities, which are located in 6 different states . In this role you will be a key member of the accounting department working closely with the controller, by performing essential accounting responsibilities while improving processes for the overall success of ABHM. This exempt position offers a hybrid work model, combining remote and in-office work. Pay from $83k-90k/year based on experience. Duties and Responsibilities Include: Responsibility for multiple accounting areas including investments, bonds, leases, accommodation fee amortization and deposit schedules Various daily, weekly, monthly and annual tasks, including month-end close and journal entries Bank and balance sheet reconciliations Audit, cost report and 990 schedule preparations Manage accounts receivable and revenue spread sheets and GL entries What You Need: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Finance or similar field required, with CPA strongly preferred 3+ years' experience in public accounting and/or accounting experience in health care/senior housing Thorough knowledge of applicable general accounting, accounts payable and/or general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures Prior experience with Great Plains (Microsoft Dynamics GP) strongly preferred Prior experience with Point Click Care Experience preferred Ability to work in a collaborative multi-state environment Who we are: ABHM has been proudly providing senior living and health care services throughout our Midwest communities for over 85 years.
