The Outlets at San Clemente is currently hiring Part-Time Security Officers who will take initiative and ensure a safe and positive shopping experience for our employees and shoppers. The Schedule for the position will be Saturday and Sundays from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm and may vary based on center needs. SUMMARY Patrols the grounds and buildings of the Center ensuring the safety and security of the shopping center. Know all the shopping center-specific policies and procedures, and implement emergency response activities as appropriate, while providing excellent customer service. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all levels of personnel and the public in a professional manner. Maintain complete knowledge of all security operations, policies, and procedures. Perform all duties according to OSHA-established health and safety standards. Establish and maintain working relationships with store managers and employees in the center on an ongoing basis to enhance security. Perform special projects or other duties as assigned. Be a Team Player and assist other departments, as necessary. Display exceptional customer service and communication skills. Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE High school diploma or it's equivalent. 1 - 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area preferred.
