Job Title: Security (Firewall) Engineer Location: Arlington, VA Clearance Level: Top Secret w/ SCI eligibility. Summary We deliver essential technology services to our customers in support of their missions to sustain the national security and economic interest of our nation. SecuriGence is seeking a talented Security (Firewall) Engineer to help contribute to our success. Come help us solve problems with Innovation Through Intelligence. Responsibilities Design and implement firewall infrastructure solutions for SAP systems/subsystems, Azure Stack Hub, including network topology, firewall policies, and security. Perform Migration of Firewalls to Palo Alto (PA), performing ALCM activity of PA Firewall models Assist in providing Design considerations for New Application & Security Zones deployment in-line with Security Guard rails Configure PA firewalls to ensure they are properly connected and secure. Independently work on PANOS Upgrades and Model Upgrades & Migrations of Firewall Troubleshoot firewall issues by identifying and resolving faults, such as connectivity problems, misconfigured policies, and performance issues. Monitor firewall performance of the Azure Stack Hub firewall, and identify any areas for improvement. Manage firewall security by implementing and managing security policies, such as access control lists (ACLs), network address translation (NAT), and virtual private networks (VPNs). Leverage Panorama management Servers Template creation to configure Firewalls Collaborate with Technical Office and other teams such as program performers, cyber security, network engineering and infrastructure teams, to ensure firewall infrastructure is meeting their needs. Partake in technical consultations and plan for new solutions along with Application & Infrastructure Team Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in firewall engineering and implementing best practices in Azure Stack Hub. Troubleshoot & Fix Day-to-day Network Issues related to Security Policies, Routing & Operations of Firewall Engage with Vendor support team to resolve the problems Partake in projects deployment along with network engineering, server, database & application Team and providing security solution in line to Security guard rails Maintain a working knowledge on ITSM process, such as change management, Ticket resolution, Identifying & Implementing automation Ideas, and revision control Other duties as assigned. Skills and Experience Expertise Hands-On Experience of at least 5 Years on Palo-Alto Network Firewalls Expertise knowledge on Installation of PaloAlto Firewalls right from scratch Configuration Virtual routes & expert knowledge on routing protocol like OSPF & BGP Linux experience and/or system administration Expertise on Configuring Security Zones, Commissioning of New Sites, Security Policy creation in line to Guard rails Palo Alto Networks experience Experience with Azure Stack Hub architecture Experience with troubleshooting skills Experience with deployment, installation, configuration, & operation of Palo Alto Networks Products Experience with SAP systems Strong verbal and written communications skills Excellent customer service skills Expert Knowledge on IPSEC VPN configuration, Natting, HA configuration Qualifications Candidate must have a DoD Top Secret w/ SCI eligibility. DoD IAT Level II Certification is required. Bachelor's degree. Can be substituted for Associate's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience or 4 years relevant experience.
