Youll provide specialized PT services to preschool and elementary students (K-8), helping them overcome functional limitations or disabilities as outlined in their Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Your expertise will enhance their mobility, independence, and well-being, empowering them to succeed in the school environment! Why Apply? * Earn up to $55.00/hr, paid weekly!** Enjoy a convenient Monday - Friday school schedule (no nights, no weekends)* Gain invaluable PT experience in a school setting As a School-Based Physical Therapist (PT), you * *** Provide PT services to students, focusing on developing strength, range of motion, or balance; gait training; improving gross motor control; and/or practice using assistive devices such as a wheelchair, cane, or walker.* Perform professional assessments of students physical abilities and progress.* Provide recommendations of PT interventions that will help remove learning barriers and maximize students ability to participate fully in a school environment. Qualifications for this School PT position * Bachelors degree from an accredited institution* Masters or doctoral degree from an accredited physical therapy program* Physical therapy licensure in the state of California* American Physical Therapist Association (APTA) specialist certification in pediatrics through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists (ABPTS)* Prior PT experience working in a school setting is preferred, but not required If youre looking for a rewarding Physical Therapy career meeting the unique needs of students in a school setting, we want to hear from you!
