Lexington hotel group is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic sales professional. The candidate needs to be self motivated and driven by the hunt. Must be able to communicate in a positive and productive way both internally and externally to ensure success for the customer and the hotel. The ideal candidate is serviced-oriented, motivated, passionate, collaborative, and has a deep understanding of how to develop and maintain relationships with customers, how to effectively prospect and how to positively and creatively work in a team environment.Responsibilities:* Develop and Execute sales and Marketing plan to drive business in new and existing markets.* Establish and maintain customer relationships.* Understand and keep up to date with General Manager to achieve 100 % or more of business transient goals, group room goals, and catering revenue goals, through ADR and occupancy.* Prospect new and existing business opportunities proactively outside appointments, cold calls, warm referrals, networking, follow up, internet prospecting and sales blitzes.* Qualify small to midsize meetings with and without F and B, create BEO and finalize details.* Communicate effectively to both internal and external customers.* We are a team focused organization and must be able to assist as needed in all areas of the organization.Requirements:* Minimum 2 years hotel sales experience.* Detail oriented.* Strong written and verbal skills.* Strong organizational skills.* Must be able to manage multiple tasks.* Provide exceptional customer service.* Some catering experience is preferred.
