Our Opportunity: Sales Engineer / Scientist - Acoustics Location: Hybrid Summary The Sales Engineer / Scientist will develop, present, and manage solutions related to acoustics, sound isolation, mechanical system noise and vibration control. The Sales Engineer / Scientist will create drawings, prepare reports, use acoustic modeling software, and perform on-site acoustic testing to support design work. The position requires the candidate to actively participate in several concurrent projects while efficiently delivering accurate, thorough, and high-quality work to our clients. Key Duties: Support R & D and Sales with proposals, customer and site visits as needed. Support Sales on customer and site visits as needed; effectively communicate issues with customers. Review, assess and evaluate customer requirements and specifications for product application; provide feedback about any issues that impact feasibility or design development. Assist in field failures to understand failure mechanism and root cause - perform measurements, investigations, analysis, and inspections including technical reports and rework solutions as needed. Provide technical leadership in supporting new product development initiatives. Participate and conduct in-house technical seminars educating other engineers and staff in acoustic designs. Maintain and advance predictive modeling tools and update as needed. Travel approximately 25-30% Key Experience: B. S. degree in Physics or Engineering with a focus in Acoustics or Noise Control. M.S. degree is preferred. Minimum 3 years Noise and Vibration Control in construction / building products. Solid understanding of building codes. Use of acoustic measurement instruments in collecting sound data.
