Travel Nurse Source is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Charlotte, North Carolina, 28207 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift, 7 PM - 7 AM Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: 2 years of experience; PCU experience preferred License: Current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state of practice Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider status according to the American Heart Association Job Description: - Collect data pertinent to the healthcare consumer's health or situation. - Analyze assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues. - Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or situation. - Develop a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes. - Implement the identified plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment. - Delegate elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers in accordance with any applicable legal or policy parameters or principles. - Evaluate progress toward the attainment of goals and outcomes. - Practice in a manner that is congruent with cultural diversity and inclusion principles. - Communicate effectively in all areas of practice. - Collaborate with healthcare consumers and other key stakeholders in the conduct of nursing practice. - Demonstrate leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession. - Seek knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice and promotes futuristic thinking. - Integrate evidence and research findings into practice. - Contribute to quality nursing practice. - Evaluate one's own and others' nursing practices in relation to professional standards and guidelines, relevant statutes, rules, and regulations. - Utilize appropriate resources to plan, provide, and sustain evidence-based nursing services that are safe, effective, and fiscally responsible. - Practice in an environmentally safe and healthy manner. - Practice ethically. - Promote shared governance or decision-making activities, developing and nurturing research to positively affect clinical outcomes and promotion.
