Travel Nurse Source is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified OR RN in Durango, Colorado, 81301 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Operating Room Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10-hour day shift, 0700-1715, 4 days a week, On-call: One night a week, one weekend a month Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred License: State RN license or RN license from a participating state in the NLC required Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required Must-Have: - Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to the operating room - Circulation nurse experience preferred Job Description: - Assess the physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients through observation, interview, and review of medical records and clinical data. - Develop and implement a patient care plan and observe outcomes, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. - Demonstrate competency in a variety of therapeutic and diagnostic interventions including IVs, incision/wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections. - Promote and advocate for the health, safety, and rights of each patient. - Recognize the patient as a full partner in care that respects their preferences, values, and needs. - Deliver culturally competent care and respect for diversity. - Utilize time, personnel, equipment, and supplies effectively for high-quality, cost-effective care. - Serve as a professional role model and mentor for staff and students. - Evaluate and improve own nursing practice in accordance with professional standards. - Participate in hospital and unit-based meetings and contribute to quality improvement. - Engage in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and research activities. - Utilize current healthcare research and evidence to expand knowledge and enhance performance. - Be flexible to float to any location within 60 miles or as needed per policy. 26282731 EXPTEMP Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS - AHA BLS - AHA Core Competency Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam 5 Benefits of Travel Nursing Different healthcare facilities may have varying levels of technological advancements.
