Travel Nurse Source is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified CVOR RN in Charlotte, North Carolina, 28203 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Operating Room Job Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room Job Duration: 13-week Travel Contract Shift: Day Shift, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Adult Cardiac, Pediatric Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular surgery License: Active compact or RN license required in the state of residence or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner Certifications: BLS and PALS (through American Heart Association) Must-Have: - Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred - Proficiency in English: reading, writing, and speaking Job Description: - Collect data pertinent to the healthcare consumer's health or the situation. - Analyze assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues. - Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or the situation. - Develop a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes. - Implement the identified plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment. - Delegate elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers in accordance with applicable legal or policy parameters or principles. - Evaluate progress toward the attainment of goals and outcomes. - Practice in a manner that is congruent with cultural diversity and inclusion principles. - Communicate effectively in all areas of practice. - Collaborate with healthcare consumers and other key stakeholders in the conduct of nursing practice. - Demonstrate leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession. - Seek knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice and promotes futuristic thinking. - Integrate evidence and research findings into practice. - Contribute to quality nursing practice. - Evaluate one's own and others' nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines, relevant statutes, rules, and regulations. - Utilize appropriate resources to plan, provide, and sustain evidence-based nursing services that are safe, effective, and fiscally responsible. - Practice in an environmentally safe and healthy manner. - Practice ethically. - Promote shared governance or facility decision-making activities, developing and nurturing research to positively affect clinical outcomes and promotion. Physical Requirements: - Ability to walk, stand, sit, lift, reach, stoop, bend, push, and pull. - Must be able to lift and support up to 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. - Intact senses of sight, hearing, smell, and touch. - Finger dexterity, critical thinking, and the ability to concentrate. - Must respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
